Increasing Accessibility to Clean and Safe Water.

The community health and hygiene class in Voi taught proper handwashing, safe water handling, personal and food hygiene, sanitation, environmental cleanliness, and disease prevention. Participants learned how these practices help prevent illness and promote a healthier community.

Residents of Kang'ethya were relieved when Lifewater RESCUE Kenya successfully repaired the community hand pump. With clean water flowing again, families could return to their daily lives without worrying about getting water from long distances.

The new latrine construction at Mwasuma School is transforming the learning environment by improving safety, dignity, and sanitation for students. With the addition of handwashing stations, learners now have access to better hygiene facilities that help promote good health, reduce the spread of diseases, and create a cleaner, safer, and more supportive school community.

The objectives of drilling the Upper Lenza community borehole are;

1. To provide reliable access to clean and safe water for all households within Upper Lenza.
2. To reduce water scarcity challenges and eliminate the need for long-distance water collection.
3. To improve public health and sanitation by ensuring the availability of safe water for drinking and domestic use.
4. To save time and effort, especially for women and children, allowing them to focus on education and other productive activities.
5. To support local economic activities such as small-scale farming, businesses, and other income-generating initiatives.
