Marine litter refers to waste, especially plastics, that pollute our oceans, damaging marine life and ecosystems. Tackling this global issue opens up exciting opportunities for businesses to innovate and protect our oceans. ๐๐ข
The blue economy is about sustainably using ocean resources to promote economic growth while preserving the health of our marine ecosystems. This includes vital sectors like fisheries, tourism, and ocean conservation. ๐ฑ๐

1,000,000 EUROS GRANT!โ
The Energy and Environment Partnership Trust Fund (EEP Africa) is inviting companies, start-ups, and social enterprises to submit applications for innovative early-stage clean energy projects in active development in Southern and Eastern Africa. All applications need to demonstrate a clear need and additionality for EEP Africa financing.โ
EEP Africa is a clean energy financing facility that is hosted and managed by the Nordic Development Fund (NDF) with funding from Austria, Denmark, Finland, Switzerland, Iceland, and NDF.โ
Target countries are Botswana, Burundi, Comoros, Eswatini, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.โ
Applicants can apply for grants and repayable grants between EUR 200,000 โ1,000,000. The minimum required co-financing is 30-50% of the total project budget, depending on the project phase and company maturity. โ
EoI submission deadline is on 15 March 2024 at 13:00 (Helsinki time, GMT +2). โ
