President William Ruto and Deputy President Kithure Kindiki held a consultative meeting with Mt Kenya Governors together with CSs and PSs at State House, Nairobi ahead of his visit in the region

As President Ruto sets to begin his Mt. Kenya tour on March 31st, 2025. Each MP allied to the president is set to receive KSH 50 million from State House to mobilize crowds as follows.

1. Each MP was given Ksh. 10 million to buy foodstuffs ie Unga, Rice, beans and distribute to residents to prevent them from heckling the president.

2. Each MP has been given KSH 5 million to hire local women groups to sing and cheer at all the stop overs the President will address public gatherings

3. Each MP will receive ksh 5 million for boda boda operators with each boda set to receive Ksh. 5,000 each before the event, with instructions to transport 3 individuals to every stop over to cheer Ruto and push the narrative that he still enjoys supports him in the Mt Kenya region.
4. The remainder will be used to mobilize crowds at every stopover. Each of person who will attend the said rallies will receive 1k each from the MP per every stop over.

4. Governors, NGAO officers and Senior State officials have also been asked to supplement the effort by the MPs to give a perception tht RUTO is still popular in the mountain region.
