I have been tagged on this again and I will take time to expound further. Justice for Vinnie cannot be gotten through shouting on social media… that’s not how criminal matters are prosecuted.

I have appeared before the Hon L Maina who sentenced him and all I can say is she’s one of the most sober minded judicial officers in Meru Station. And not to burst your bubble, she wouldn’t convict and sentence without proof of defilement.

The other argument that the minor is a repeat offender is quite a lame defense. It matters not how many times the minor has engaged in coitus, the fact that it’s been proven one of the offenders has been caught pants down it means he goes down with it.

I had earlier alluded that Section 124 of the Evidence Act states that the evidence of the minor alone is adequate to convict where the testimony is deemed truthful.However in Vinny’s case a total of 5 civilian witnesses testified in the affirmative 🥶🙆🏽‍♂️.

Now every defilement case has ingredients which ought to be satisfied before one is found guilty. These grounds are supported by medical evidence which means a doctor appeared equally to testify and produce a P3 form and a Post R**e Care (PRC) form all which are documents that support evidence of in*******se if filled within a short period of time.

The only way rather than create hashtags for Vinny is to hire an advocate to review the judgement and file an appeal within 14 days from the date he was sentenced. Certainly time is running out.

Now, it will certainly take a miracle to overturn some decisions where so many witnesses confirmed defilement. The minor further testified that the accused was his uncle which made the matter even worse.

Remember the high court can also enhance the sentence. My advise would be if the accused is truthful of what transpired,he would just seat pretty and serve his sentence. The more you all discuss the matter on social media the less the chances of success of the appeal as the same could easily sway the judge to enhance to more years.

Next time, remember the law doesn’t recognize whether you’re a celebrity or not. Defilement and r**e matters can only be settled before they begin. There’re matters you don’t play around with.

Finally, I keep reminding men to keep off children. Unless you encounter an untruthful child in court,which is quite rare, 99% of the time you will be jailed without a doubt.
