Today at Hannah Emuriakin School, we had a meaningful session on parental involvement in learners’ education.
It was an enriching engagement bringing together parents and teachers, emphasizing the vital role that collaboration plays in shaping the future of our children.
When parents take an active role in their child’s learning journey, it strengthens academic performance, discipline, and overall development.
We appreciate all the parents who showed up, shared their thoughts, and committed to walking this educational journey together with us.
Together, we build stronger learners and a brighter future. Kea Arnlund Birgitta Arnlund

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future… will be able to separate us from the love of God.” Romans 8:38–39
It is well.
Rest easy, our beloved mum, friend, and colleague, Christine Ichom.
Your kindness, warmth, and presence will forever remain in our hearts.
God be our strength during this difficult time.

The holiday has been a beautiful time filled with joy, laughter, and togetherness as we shared precious moments with our Mapendo students.
Today, we officially release the Mapendo student support (MSS) beneficiaries as they prepare to return to their respective schools starting Monday. In the company of their parents, they have also received their cheques, a significant step as they continue their educational journey.
We wish all our students God’s abundant blessings, guidance, and protection as they go back to school. May you excel in your studies and grow in wisdom and character.
All the best in your education and future endeavours. Barnmissionen Children’s Mission Africa Kea Arnlund Birgitta Arnlund

The Mapendo Students Support Program brought together Grade 10, Form Three, Form Four, and the Form Four Class of 2025 alongside their parents for a meaningful engagement session. The meeting provided a valuable platform to discuss holiday academic plans, discipline and positive behavior, and review the 2026 first-term performance.
Special focus was given to KUCCPS applications, where the Form Four 2025 cohort received mentorship on aligning career choices with their academic strengths and performance.
We are encouraged by the strong support from parents, who expressed deep appreciation for LEDO Kenya’s commitment to their children’s education and pledged continued collaboration in shaping their future. Our students also reaffirmed their dedication to discipline and academic excellence.
Together, we are building a brighter future—one student at a time. 📚💡

It was a pleasure to host the MAF team from the Netherlands at LEDO Kenya offices.
The visit provided a great opportunity for meaningful interaction, learning, and sharing experiences between both teams. We truly appreciated the time spent engaging with our programs and community, and the exchange strengthened our mutual understanding.

We are proud to share that LEDO Kenya has officially transitioned from a Community-Based Organization (CBO) to a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).
Since 2011, LEDO has walked hand in hand with communities in Turkana, expanding access to education, strengthening livelihoods, improving water and sanitation, and promoting dignity, integrity & resilience and climate & environment.
This transition marks more than a change in status. It is a reflection of growth, strengthened systems, and a deeper commitment to serve with greater reach, accountability, and impact.
As we step into this new phase, we remain rooted in our core mission on empowering communities towards self-reliance and transformed lives.
We are grateful to our partners, supporters, and the communities we serve for walking this journey with us.
The journey continues stronger, broader, and more impactful.
