This is what determination looks like.
Before most of the world has started the day, she is already walking.
Not for sport.
Not by choice.
But because water is far and school will not wait.
In Turkana, girls walk long distances every day to fetch water.
It is not a chore. It is a barrier.
To learning. To rest. To childhood.
But still, she walks.
Because hope walks too.
When water gets closer, so does her future.
And when you walk with her, everything begins to change.

Families have started coloring, creating, and sending moments of joy from their homes. Seeing these pages come in has been such a gift, each one choosing to bring a little comfort to a child whose days are not easy.
