Madaraka reminds us that power belongs to the people.

As we celebrate this day, let us demand leadership that serves, listens, and delivers. Our people deserve jobs, affordable living, quality services, and leaders who put public interest above personal gain.

Together, we can build a constituency and a Kenya that works for everyone.

Happy Madaraka Day.

Today I stood with the people of Mutonguni Ward in moments of grief, unity, and compassion.

Earlier in the day, I joined the community in Nzewani Village, Musengo Location to pay my last respects to the late Jeniffer Priscillah Kawasya.
I was honored to be in the company of fellow leaders:
Daniel Nzoka – VA Mutonguni
Hon. Stephen Kithuka – Former MCA, Mutonguni Ward
Hon. Ben Milai – MP Aspirant, Kitui West

Later in the evening, I condoled with the family of the late Pastor Paul Musyoki Nzoka in Kaimu Village, Mutonguni Location, Mutonguni Ward.

It was a day that reminded us of the importance of standing together, supporting one another, and sharing in both sorrow and strength as a community.

May the souls of the departed rest in eternal peace, and may God grant their families comfort during this difficult time. 🀍

I also joined family, friends, and residents of Maseki Village, Mutulu Location in Matinyani Ward during the traditional wedding ceremony of Mitchell Mutanu and Isaac Muroki. It was a beautiful celebration of love, family, culture, and unity, reflecting the values that continue to strengthen our communities.

Later, I visited Katheuni Village in Matinyani Location to condole with the family of the late Robert Munyoki, popularly known as Kakungulu. I conveyed my heartfelt sympathies and stood with the family and friends during this difficult time of grief and mourning.

Whether in moments of celebration or sorrow, true leadership means remaining present with the people, listening, encouraging, and walking together as one community.

I later joined residents of Maaini Village, Mutulu Location in Matinyani Ward for a fundraiser in support of Stephen Munyoki, who is pursuing his undergraduate studies at Maseno University.

I was encouraged to see the community come together in support of education and the dreams of a young person determined to build a better future through learning. Education remains one of the most powerful tools for transforming lives, uplifting families, and strengthening our communities.

When elected Member of Parliament, I am committed to strengthening bursary programs, supporting needy students, and championing greater access to educational opportunities for our young people. No bright student should be forced to abandon their studies because of financial hardship.

Together, we can invest in education and secure a brighter future for the next generation.
