The report addresses eight priority areas: Revitalisation of the peace and security architecture; financing; operationalisation of the African Court of Justice; and streamlining the AU agenda format.

Others are revamping the Pan-African Parliament; categorisation of decisions; division of labour; as well as restructuring of the remaining AU Organs, Institutions and Offices.

These reforms are achievable. Let us therefore join forces to turn this dream into reality. To make the reform process inclusive, a summit of Heads of State will be held where they will contribute their perspectives and shape a stronger and more responsive Union."

"I posted about the new MTRH in Eldoret… which is about to become Africa’s most modern and biggest hospital… and I realised many Kenyans don’t actually understand how their own country is zoned. That’s why we say those who oppose the government have no understanding nor plan on how to derive the best out of their own country.

Every region has its role. Every town has its niche. And nobody is fighting about it on the ground.

• 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗶 / 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗮 – Silicon Savannah South… Konza Technopolis, data centres, BPO parks, and KAIST.

• 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗶 – Financial and Innovation capital… Silicon Savannah, NSE, UN agencies, fintech unicorns, and multinational HQs.

• 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗮 – Maritime and Trade gateway… East Africa’s busiest port, SGR terminus, refinery, cruise tourism, coastal logistics.

• 𝗡𝗮𝗸𝘂𝗿𝘂 – Agro-industrial and Eco-tourism hub… food plants, Lake Nakuru’s flamingos, Menengai geothermal.

• 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮 – Horticulture and Geothermal capital… world’s biggest cut-flower zone, Olkaria fields, eco-lodges.

• 𝗞𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲 (𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀-𝗡𝘇𝗼𝗶𝗮) – The breadbasket… maize, wheat, sunflower, and Kenya Seed Company research farms.

• 𝗡𝘆𝗲𝗿𝗶 – Home of premium AA coffee and the gateway to Mt Kenya and the Aberdares.

• 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶 – Marine tourism and Swahili heritage… pristine beaches, Marine Park, Gedi Ruins, Italian community.

• 𝗞𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗴𝗮 – Rainforest and gold belt… the last equatorial forest in Kenya and small-scale mining.

• 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗸𝗼𝘀 – Film, events and light industry… Machakoswood, people’s parks, new factories.

• 𝗡𝘆𝗮𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘂𝗿𝘂 – Thompson Falls, dairy farms, potatoes, and cool-climate vegetables.

• 𝗞𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗼 – Tea capital of the world… Unilever, Finlay, (currently Browns) endless emerald estates, high-altitude camps.

• 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗮 (𝗠𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗮𝘀, 𝗕𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗺𝗮, 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗮) – The revived sugar belt… modern mills aiming to end sugar imports completely.

• 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝘆 – Future home of Kenya’s first nuclear energy plant for clean baseload power.

• 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗮 (𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁, 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗮, 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗿𝘂) – The wind and solar frontier… large-scale green energy pushing Kenya’s renewable future.

The government has commenced the development of a 4,000-bed Multi-Specialty Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Kiplombe, Uasin Gishu County. The Ministry of Defence is leading the initial construction phases, with the first 2,000-bed block scheduled for completion by April 2027.

Occupying a 200-acre site, this fully government-funded facility will include 60 intensive care units (ICUs) upon completion. The project marks a major leap forward in expanding access to specialized and affordable healthcare … and stands as a defining step toward achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in Kenya.
