Every child deserves a chance to dream

Every child begins life with a dream, but not every child has the support needed to reach it. Many of the children we work with rely on simple things like a pencil, a schoolbook, a safe place to learn to keep their dreams alive. Some children dream of becoming teachers, doctors, or simply having a brighter tomorrow but without support, those dreams fade too quickly. 🎉 We continued with our Support Vulnerable refugee children Trough Education program as usual, and today was truly a special day.
Our students had the opportunity to share their personal stories, as part of their journey of self-discovery and dream realization.

✨ Meet Yvonne Nyasa✨

Yvonne Nyasa is a 9-year-old girl living in Kakuma refugee camp . After losing both parents in Congo 🇨🇩 at a young age, she was raised by her Sister, who struggles to make a living through farming.

Despite the challenges, Yvonne Nyasa never gave up on her dreams. Next year will start class 4 at Lokitang Primary School but couldn’t afford the school Supplies. Determined to continue her education, Yvonne comes alone to the Friends Initiative for powerMind to ask for help.

Her dream is to become a nurse, and one day, to support other girls like her by helping them stay in school. 💚

'Education

KHADIJA is a 13 years old orphan refugee from Democratic Republic of the Congo 🇨🇩.
Life in Kakuma refugee camp/Kenya🇰🇪 has not been easy for the past 4 years.
Joining School was always a challenge because of being orphan with none to support her school fee etc.
KHADIJA joined in January 2024 since then,school for her has become more than just a place to study.
it has become a place where she feels supported and encouraged to learn.
Khadija is a student at Nationokar primary school in Grade 6.
Through and assistance Khadija's school fee has been fully paid and next week on Monday 27th/October/2025 she'll start National Exams.
please help us to wish KHADIJA all the best in the national Exams.
Initiative _For_EmpowerMind does not only focus on learner's performances it also provides opportunities for Sports,art and building Social skills as a free learning space for every vulnerable child.

It was a pleasure to see our Founder and Executive Director,Gracias Clement Nundafils to represent in the Inspiring gathering of Young Quakers from across Africa.

This year's theme was:
Planting The Seed: How Young Quakers can Lead Change Through Projects and Partnership.
Together, they explored how young Quakers can transfom their visions into impactful projects rooted in Quaker Values, while tapping into mentorship, collaboration and funding opportunities.
We're waiting to learn more, share and grow together with our Executive Director.
