Kambi Garba Community Development Programme

Kambi Garba Community Development Programme CBO members weekly meeting at Kambi Garba primary school classroom. The community responsibilities lies with us all, the past present and future must be forged now for a healthy Community. We are working towards series of projects and activities not limited to;

- Malaria campaign
- Tree Nursery and planting
- Sanitation programmes
among others.

We are not yet there but we will.

Weekly meeting with the members and board of strategizing on the key issues affecting the community from waste management, drainage, young generation on drugs not forgetting the tall grass in the area increasing malaria to households.

Today KGCDP CBO visited Kambi Garba Primary school and had a constructive conversation with the headmaster Mr. Ibrahim Bonaya. We discussed on how we can forge partnership in the area between the CBO and the school. Key points were environment conversation in the school like tree planting, sanitation , drug and substance abuse, mentorship programs among others.

" We are having a lot of challenges already like water bills, lack of school perimeter wall and land grabbers. We are going to work together in a good partnership to try and find solutions to the above, we are ready" Mr Ibrahim Bonaya.
We also made field visit within the compound of the learning environment and visited stalled borehole project, non functional market stalls and discussed it's rehabilitation and utilization. " This stalled market can be a good facility when turned into a leather making factory of making school shoes with the readily available resources in the locality", added Mr. Hassan Bakash KGCDP project manager.

Today we had a brainstorming session on dangers of Malarial, much observation was on breeding of mosquito.
It was recommended that there is need for Malaria mitigation to be put in place and stake holders including Public Health department to be consulted on the same.

The action plan for two months Malaria mitigation program was put in place .
