In my hand is more than just a harvest—it’s a story of patience, resilience, and hope.
From preparing the soil, planting, and nurturing through uncertain weather, to finally pulling this beautiful sweet potato from the earth—every step reminds me that growth takes time and care. Not every day in the field is easy, but moments like this make it all worthwhile.
This is what food security looks like. This is what dedication yields.
Let’s keep growing, feeding, and building stronger communities—one harvest at a time.

🌱 Strengthening Food Security in Arid Lands! 🌾
At Seed CBO Kenya, we are empowering communities in Isiolo’s arid and semi-arid lands to grow drought-resilient crops that withstand tough climatic conditions while improving household nutrition and incomes.
This week, our farmers worked together in the demonstration farms to manage and nurture resilient crops such as cowpeas, green grams, and sorghum—crops that continue to thrive even under harsh weather.
With support from improved irrigation, climate-smart farming practices, and strong community collaboration, we are helping families secure a more reliable and sustainable food system.
🌿 Why Drought-Resilient Crops?
✔ Thrive in low rainfall
✔ Mature quickly
✔ Improve soil fertility
✔ Boost household food and income security
Together, we are building climate resilience, restoring degraded lands, and ensuring communities can feed themselves—today and for generations to come.
