We are deeply saddened by the passing of CPL Mutunduri Henry Mwiti (3rd May 2026) after a short illness.

Official Attire: Match officials must be in their official referee uniform to exercise any authority. Without it, they cannot legally inspect the pitch, verify player cards, or start the "grace period" clock.

Jurisdiction: Match officials' jurisdiction begins upon arrival at the venue, but they must be properly kitted to "signify official authority" and perform technical duties like pitch inspection.

Despite all our efforts to have the game played, the match officials walked out without even preparing for kickoff. The decision was disappointing, especially considering the circumstances, as we were informed that the situation was beyond control. It’s unfortunate that the match could not proceed
