Meet Agnes, the chair of Rokocho Kamamu Self Help Group, who turned her FOSECCA(Food Security and Climate Change Adaptation) training into real change. After learning about agro-ecology, crop diversification, and soil conservation, she immediately applied the practices on her own farm in Elgeyo Marakwet County.
Today, her fields are a beautiful mix of nyota beans, fruits, groundnuts, orange-fleshed sweet potatoes, and leafy vegetables, all grown in ways that protect the soil and boost resilience.
Her neighbours are learning from her example, and her family is already enjoying the benefits of healthier soil and better harvests.
Agnes shows that empowered farmers strengthen entire communities. 🌾💛 FOSECCA is implemented in partnership with DanChurchAid and Bread for the World.

The peace meeting in the Soba region brought together residents from the Mombwo–Soba cluster for a powerful learning moment.
What began as a fun knotting game gradually opened space for dialogue, each rope twist revealing stories, concerns, and a shared desire for harmony.
By the time the last knot was tied, new friendships had formed, misunderstandings had softened, and the community agreed:
Peace is a collective investment, and everyone has a role to play.
The journey to lasting peace in Nandi County continues!
Through games, dialogue, and shared experiences, communities are discovering new ways to resolve conflict with understanding and respect.
ADS North Rift is proud to walk alongside these champions of peace.

The Kapkawa Farmers Group engages in the Community-Based Microfinance model, creating an environment where members learn to manage resources together and strengthen cooperative bonds. 🌾✨
This collective process helps farmers build stronger group structures, become more confident in decision-making, and support each other’s growth.
Through these interactions, the community becomes more cohesive and better prepared for long-term development.
Community-Based Microfinance is important because it enables farmers to control their financial future, encouraging savings, improving access to small loans, and building resilience from within the community. 🌱💚
