A September ramble on Mt. Elgon. Slightly early for my (78th) birthday ; ---- but had to take advantage of my friends' availability. Magnificent scenery but you cannot relax to enjoy when there is a threat of rain. Take waterproofs, plenty of liquids and bivouac equipment if you have the means to carry (porters).
