Family life education program is a faith based non-profit organization formed and registered in 1995 with the aim of supporting orphans and vulnerable children.

Family LIFE Education Program - FLEP participated in a basic HIV management information package for the Case Workers (CHVs) meeting at USAID 4TheChild office Busia town. The agenda main agenda brought key stakeholders together to develop a HIV management pack to be used by case workers among the OVC and the Caregivers.

The stakeholders present included: CASCO, USAID Dumisha Afya, CPMTCT, FP, County USAID 4TheChild P.O, At. CHRIO, Case Workers, FLEP and ADT.

The caregiver manual will guide the Case Workers during House Hold Visits. Hence, they will be able to provide quality services to the members of the Household.

On 28th and 29th September and 2nd October 2023, Family Life Family LIFE Education Program - FLEP participated in a 3 day training on U=U Communication Strategy and Charter Development with Busia county and other stakeholders.

The main aim was to:
1. Develop U=U communication strategy
2. Development of a County charter
3. Establish a comprehensive list that reflects all current U=U program activities implementing partners and sites.

The stakeholders present were CASCO, CHMT members, USAID Dumisha Afya, USAID 4TheChild, OGRA, NEPHAK, Bodaboda Association, MOH staff from various Sub-Counties, Discordant Couples Association, Survivors, and Adolescents and Young Persons.

Today Family Life Education Program - FLEP conducted the annual Community Health Volunteers End Year Forum. The round table meeting primary aimed at performance analysis encompassed CHV'S rewarding among other agendas. They were commended for their work while they also were given an opportunity to make recommendations moving forward.

In pursuit of strengthening Households Economic statures, Family Life Education Program - FLEP has leveraged on partnerships with USAID and other organizations to deliver business machinery to various individuals. The beneficiaries were urged to utilize the items fully and carefully to impact more lives.

Today Family LIFE Education Program - FLEP staff attended USAID Dumisha Afya Busia CRH Performance Review. The forum was attended by The Lead Mentor, Busia County PMTCT officers, Clinical Officers, Peer Educators, Adherence Councilors, Mentor Mothers, Pharmacists, Nutritionists, Clinicians, HTS's, AGY's and Subordinate Staff among other dignitaries.
Busia County Referral Hospital was lauded for exemplary performance in various disciplines. Besides data review, CEY quality improvement was also a key focus of the forum.

Busia Education and Vocational Training CECM Flags Off 1.1 Million Worth of Bicycles Donated through a Partnership of USAID 4TheChild and World Bicycle Relief to Support 13,776 Orphans and Vulnerable Children and Community Health Volunteers in Busia County:

A heartwarming ceremony held on Thursday, September 7th, 2023, Hon. Beatrice Nakholi, the Busia County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Education and Vocational Training, joined forces with her counterpart for Sports, Gender, and Creative Arts, Hon. Paul Ekwenye, to flag off a remarkable donation of bicycles worth KES 1.1 million.

This generous gift comes as a result of a dynamic partnership between USAID 4TheChild and World Bicycle Relief (WBR) and is set to have a profound impact on the lives of 13,776 orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) in Busia County, as well as dedicated community health volunteers (CHVs).
