From the photos shared from the crash scene, it appears that Hon. Johana Ngong Ng'eno may have fallen from the chopper during the accident.
Nobody knows whether he was attempting to escape or whether the cockpit glass shattered since he was seated in the front, but the images seem to suggest that he struggled in a desperate attempt to save himself. His hands appear raised, perhaps in a final instinct to survive, before the falling debris and ensuing fire consumed him.
Look at his hands, as a fighter he was, he appeared to have fought for his life even in his most vulnerable moment. Only God knows what Mheshimiwa Johana said at that moment.
Johana died while doing what he loved most, empowering musicians. This man even went beyond Kenya’s borders to reach and support the Kalenjin people living in Uganda
There is no good death, but Ngong did not deserve such a tragic ending after all he had done for his people in Transmara region and beyond.
Ooh no, Ngong deserved better.
This was a man who endured many hardships in his youth, throughout his political journey, and even on his last day on earth.
Tragic 😢

A Father’s Pain. This is Sylvia’s Story.
Shadrack Parusei, a single father from the Kipcheromek clan in Kapweria–Chepnyaliliet village, Transmara East (Narok County), has faced unimaginable hardship. After his wife walked out on their family, he was left to raise three young daughters alone including Sylvia Chepkemoi, a brave little girl born with a disability.
Despite his limited means, Shadrack did everything in his power to seek treatment for Sylvia, including visits to hospitals like Tenwek Mission. But on Thursday, tragedy struck, Sylvia passed away. The family was so financially strained they couldn’t afford a mortuary. Friday was spent trying to reach her estranged mother, who, after family dialogue, gave her blessing for the burial.
On a rainy Saturday afternoon, Sylvia was laid to rest in the most humble of ways, a simple wooden casket, worn-out polythene sheets for a tent, and a grieving father holding it all together for the sake of his two remaining daughters.
The sorrow was matched only by the clear signs of poverty surrounding the funeral.
This is a heartfelt appeal to well-wishers, friends, and anyone moved by Sylvia’s story. Shadrack is currently jobless and doing casual work including bodaboda riding, needs our support to rebuild his life and care for his daughters.
His humble request:
A heifer to provide milk for his children
A bodaboda (motorbike) to earn a reliable daily income.
