Chiba Prefecture officers have arrested 14 foreign nationals on charges of illegally staying even after the visa expired from an apartment complex in Asahi city. The group had men and women aged 20 to 50, who are citizens of Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia. One of them has been avoiding the immigration authority for almost seven years.

13 out of the 14 detained entered Japan on short-term tourist visas, and one came through a technical intern training program, according to investigators. Later handed over to Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau. The detained admit they were living by doing local farming.

This incident highlighted a major challenge in regional. Chiba Prefecture recently ranked second in the number of undocumented workers working illegally, according to the immigration services agency. Authorities are now expanding the investigation further, because their suspicion—such undocumented immigrants may be in residential centre area elsewhere.

🔴 DETAILS OF THE CASE: 11-YEAR-OLD BOY MURDERED IN KYOTO, JAPAN (2026)

A shocking case has shaken public opinion in Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture, where a father admitted to killing his own son after staging a fake disappearance for weeks.

📍 Timeline of Events:
March 23, 2026: Adachi Yuki (11), a 6th-grade student at Sonobe Elementary School, was reported missing. His father (37) told police he had driven the boy near the school but later claimed the child never returned home.

Over the following 3 weeks: Police and volunteers conducted a large-scale search in nearby areas, including forests, mountains, and abandoned buildings.

April 13, 2026 (afternoon): Authorities discovered the body of a young boy in a forest about 2 km southwest of the elementary school. It was later confirmed to be Adachi Yuki.

🔍 Autopsy & Investigation Findings:

Time of death: Estimated to be around late March, close to when he was first reported missing.
Condition of the body: No visible stab wounds or major external injuries. However, the body was found lying on its back, without shoes (only wearing socks), raising suspicions of early involvement by someone close.
Scene evidence: Personal belongings were scattered around the area. Investigators believe this may have been an attempt to mislead the investigation.

⚖️ Turning Point: Father Arrested
April 15, 2026: After reviewing vehicle movement records and evidence from the home, police searched the residence and requested an arrest warrant.

April 16, 2026: The 37-year-old father was officially arrested on suspicion of abandoning a body.

During questioning, the suspect stated: “What I did was not wrong (I did it).”
More disturbingly, he began confessing to killing his son and admitted to transporting the body into a forest to dispose of it.

The suspect claimed he acted alone, with no accomplices.

⚠️ Public Outrage Points:

Deception: The father calmly acted as a worried parent for nearly a month while knowing his son was already dead in the forest.

Coldness: The suspect chose a remote mountainous area with little human traffic but accessible by car to carry out the crime.

Friends’ grief: A classmate tearfully said, “I wondered if Yuki had enough to eat…” while he was still considered missing—when in reality, he had already passed away.
