Tetsubin iron kettle, also known as Nanbutekki, is a traditional Japanese kettle made of iron, iron casting. It originated in Iwate prefecture of Japan during the 17th century and is still produced today by skilled artisans in the same region. Tetsubin is made using a special type of sand mold that allows the cast iron to be shaped with intricate details and patterns. Journey into Japanese crafts.
Hello from Kyoto, Japan. Ikkanbari is a traditional Japanese craft that involves using paper or cloth to make a variety of objects, such as boxes, trays, and baskets. The technique involves wetting the paper or cloth and then shaping it over a mold or frame to create the desired form. The wet material is then left to dry, which hardens it into a sturdy and durable object.

These are “Ukon-geta”. As shown in the photo, low-height geta shaped like zori sandals are called ``Ukon.'' Compared to Komageta, the bottom has a wider footprint and is coated with non-slip rubber, making it easier to walk on. Even if you change from regular shoes, you can wear them with feeling comfortable.
These geta are made using a special bamboo craft technique, with square-cut Tiger bamboo skins pasted onto the surface of a paulownia wood stand. Would you like to try on Ukon Geta, a traditional Japanese footwear handcrafted by skilled craftsmen using a method unlike any other in the world?
