The PNRP focuses on the excavation of 1st century BC/AD tombs and 1st - 4th century domestic structures in Petra, Jordan The PNRP is co-directed by S.

Thomas Parker of North Carolina State University and Megan A. Perry of East Carolina University, along with fantastic staff and students! The PNRP Field School is administered jointly between ECU and NCSU. Project Staff:

Key to restoring ancient artefacts is remembering everything is ‘temporary’ — conservator AMMAN — During excavations in Petra, a team of researchers found two marble statues of the goddess Aphrodite in 2016, talks of restoration began and late last year the team turned to conservator Michael Morris for the project.
