Wapi - Pendulum EP is out now, link in bio

Hailing from Istanbul, with a formative stint in Berlin, and now splitting his time between Vienna and Istanbul, producer Wapi presents “Pendulum”, his new three-track EP arriving on the imprint.

Pendulum unfolds as a journey through shifting psychological states, using the language of nightlife as a metaphor for cycles of agency, surrender, and release.

Across all three tracks, Wapi blends driving percussion, hypnotic grooves, swirling synths, and manipulated vocal fragments into a cinematic electronic record that continually shifts between introspection and intensity, never settling in one place for long.

To accompany the release, a music video is out for “Wear That Smile”, a haunting attempt to capture the moment of feverish fluid isolation, many thanks to everyone who contributed and supported in making this EP and video concepts come to life.

Out now on all platforms.

We’re delighted to welcome Deep Douqan to the Alt Orient family, a new sub-label founded by our good friend Tamada.

Deep Douqan is a record label and event platform dedicated to contemporary music rooted in Caucasian traditions. Through folk and experimental releases, immersive events, and cross-cultural collaborations, the label aims to connect Georgian and Caucasian artists with audiences around the world.

Their new releases, “Tsatsa” featuring Chveneburebi & Nar-Nar Khar, are out now on YouTube. Find the link in our bio.

We’ve wanted to host Ashkara in Amman for more than a year now.

One of the things we’ve always cared about is creating a space for some of the most exciting music coming from our part of the world. Ashkara embodies exactly that spirit.

Their unique blend of tarab, psychedelic improvisation, and relentless groove has made them one of our favorite live performers, and we’re incredibly excited to finally welcome them to El Masnaa on July 3rd.

We can’t promise much in life, but we can confidently promise a beautiful night of music.
