The President Mr. Shukri Salfiti & the Board of Directors of The Jordan Belgian Friendship Association (JBFA) extends its warmest congratulations to their Vice President, Ms. Shermine Dajani, on receiving one of the Italian Republic's highest civilian honors, the Officer of the Order of the Star of Italy (Ufficiale dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia).

This prestigious distinction is a well-deserved recognition of her exceptional leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to strengthening international cooperation and building lasting bridges between nations. Shermine Dajani, President of the Jordan Italian Forum for Cooperation (JIFCO), was decorated with the prestigious rank of Officer of the Order of the Star of Italy (Ufficiale dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia) during a ceremony held at the Embassy of Italy in Amman on 20 July 2026.

The honour was conferred by the President of the Italian Republic in recognition of Ms. Dajani's outstanding contribution to strengthening the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Jordan and Italy across the fields of business, trade, culture, tourism, education, and institutional collaboration.

The decoration was presented on behalf of the President of the Italian Republic by Ambassador Luciano Pezzotti.

The Order of the Star of Italy is one of the Italian Republic's highest civilian honours, bestowed upon individuals who have made exceptional contributions to promoting friendship and cooperation with Italy around the world.

Hosts Farewell Reception in the Presence of HRH Princess Dana Firas and in Honor of H.E. Ambassador Mr. Serge Dickschen

The Jordan Belgian Business & Friendship Association (JBFA) was honored to host a Farewell Reception in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Dana Firas and in honor of His Excellency Mr. Serge Dickschen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, celebrating his distinguished diplomatic service and valuable contributions to strengthening Jordanian-Belgian relations.
The event brought together a distinguished audience of diplomats, business leaders, government representatives, and JBFA members. The gracious presence of HRH Princess Dana Firas added exceptional distinction to the occasion. Renowned internationally for her leadership in cultural heritage preservation, sustainable development, and international cooperation, HRH Princess Dana Firas continues to play a significant role in promoting cultural dialogue and fostering international partnerships.
During the event, Mr. Shukri Salfiti JBFA President, paid tribute to Ambassador Dickschen’s dedication to strengthening relations between Jordan and Belgium and fostering meaningful cooperation across business, cultural, and diplomatic sectors. His tenure has left a lasting and positive impact that will be remembered with great appreciation and respect.
In his remarks, Mr. Shukri Salfiti, highlighted the Association’s continued efforts to enhance bilateral relations through networking events, business gatherings, and collaborative initiatives. While planned projects, including a business delegation and participation in the Dead Sea Conference, were postponed due to the regional circumstances, JBFA remains committed to pursuing these initiatives in the future.
The Association also expressed its sincere appreciation to its valued sponsors and supporters, including Mr. Abdalla Mazahreh, Partner & Regional Director of MCE – Management Centre Europe; Mr. Jalal Amer, Sole Agent and Distributor of Belgian BELMIO Coffee in Jordan; Mr. Ahmad Khattab, EVP of Sales, Marketing & Business Development at RevBits; Mr. David Schiffer, CEO & Chairman of the Board of RevBits L.L.C.; and Mr. Khaled Zumot and Mrs. May Zumot for their generous sponsorship and support of the event.

The Jordan Belgian Business & Friendship Association (JBFA) held its Annual Ordinary General Assembly Meeting on 10 May 2026 at 6:00 PM at Daimeh Restaurant, in the presence of the Association’s valued members whose membership fees were duly settled.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Shukri Salfiti, President of the Association, welcomed the members of the General Assembly as well as the new members joining the Association. He presented an overview of the Association’s activities and achievements during the year 2025 and highlighted the future plans aimed at enhancing economic and professional cooperation between Jordan and Belgium through the reception of specialized economic delegations and the organization of networking meetings involving the Association’s members and various Jordanian economic sectors.

Mr. Shukri Salfiti also informed the members about the Association’s upcoming Farewell Reception in honor of H.E. the Ambassador of Belgium and warmly encouraged all members to participate in this special event.

During the meeting, Mr. Mohammad Al Awamleh, representative of RUM CPA Auditors, presented the Association’s Financial Report and Balance Sheet for the year 2025.

Constructive discussions took place among the members regarding ways to further strengthen the Association and enhance cooperation and business relations between Jordan and Belgium.

Furthermore, Mr. Shukri Salfiti expressed his sincere appreciation to the sponsor of the meeting, Mr. Ahmad Khattab, EVP of Sales, Marketing & Business Development at RevBits, who briefly introduced his company and business activities during the meeting.

Additionally, Mr. Shukri Salfiti also thanked the Association’s auditors and all attending members for their continuous support and commitment to the Association.

Mr. Shukri Salfiti end the meeting by delivering the appreciation tokens to the sponsor and auditors in recognition of their valued support and contribution.
