First-of-Its-Kind ‘Twitter Stories’ Competition Kicks Off in the Region!

The region’s first Twitter Stories competition will kick start its activities tomorrow, 5th November! The four-week competition challenges writers in the region to tell a story in less than 140 characters on Twitter, exploring new forms of storytelling in both English and Arabic.

Every week, one English and one Arabic winning story will receive a JD20 gift voucher from WIDE:SCREEN • The Fun Library •, while two grand-prize winners – one from each language – will receive an iPad from Umniah belong at the end of the month! Prizes will be awarded to the winners at the Twitter Stories tweet-up event slated for early December at Veranda Lounge.

Entries will be judged by a panel consisting of prominent bloggers, Project Pen organizers and Inches representatives based on the criteria of:
1. story creativity
2. completeness
3. clarity

To participate, simply tweet your stories using the hashtag (multiple entries are welcome). All competition entries will appear on Project Pen’s website, www.projectpen.me/twitterstories, and some will be included in a free e-book!
