طوّرت EY مؤشر ثقة مستهلكي الطاقة (ECCI) لقياس مدى ثقة المستهلكين فيما يتعلق بمستقبل تحوّل الطاقة. وأظهرت النتائج أنّ العديد من المستهلكين ليسوا مقتنعين بفوائد هذا التحوّل وليس لديهم الثقة في قدرته على خلق مستقبل أفضل والخفض من الآثار البيئية الناجمة عن مصادر الطاقة الحالية. لذلك، هناك حاجة لجهود مشتركة لرفع ثقة المستهلكين والتحسين من تجربتهم.

في السنوات الخمس الماضية، ارتفعت كميات النفايات الإلكترونية ثلاث مرات أسرع من عدد سكان العالم. 53 مليون طن حجم النفايات الإلكترونية عام 2019 وتعد النفايات الأسرع نموًا في العالم بمعدل يبلغ 2 مليون طن سنويًا، وبحجم يعادل تقريبًا 9000 تمثال حرية.
نتج عن هذا الازدياد خسارة تقديرية لما لا يقل عن 57 مليار دولار من المواد الخام الأساسية، مثل الحديد والنحاس والذهب.
