On September 11th, 2024, from 2:00-4:30 PM (Jordan/Lebanon time), we are launching HIDDEN VOICES—a booklet showcasing 16 powerful stories from women across the MENA region who have faced Economic Gender-Based Violence.
Developed through a participatory research process in Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Tunisia, this booklet captures the experiences of 18 local women co-researchers and 85+ participants.
These stories are a powerful call to action for advancing gender-sensitive economic justice and supporting women’s freedom in the MENA region. Let’s amplify these voices and transform their resilience into a collective movement!

Unveiling Stories, Inspiring Change 🌟
Earlier this week, hosted its first Participatory Action Research (PAR) workshop facilitated by our new research and project partner, Recrear. This workshop provided extensive training to the country researchers involved in a community-based participatory research project for the Power in Action for Women’s Economic Rights (FemPAWER) program. The objective of the project is to facilitate a collaborative inquiry process across Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, and , focusing on understanding the experiences of Economic Gender-Based Violence (E/GBV) among young , particularly those working in the informal . Our goal is to deepen the comprehension of how E/GBV affects women's lives and how it is perpetuated by various entities in society. Ultimately, with Recrear, we aim to amplify diverse women's stories and voices to steer evidence-based advocacy on the situation of women affected by E/GBV in different localities and sectors. 🌍📊

, in partnership with the USAID Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Activity (MELA), continues to serve the USAID/Jordan Mission in broadening learning on key social issues.
Last week, INTEGRATED presented the synopsis of the "Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Consolidated Efforts Framework" to USAID/Jordan's Gender Community of Practice. This Learning Study assisted /Jordan in identifying the common key gaps, opportunities, and recommendations across the Implementing Partners’ and their GESI analyses. Additionally, it highlighted key challenges in measuring and reporting on Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment indicators, as well as the extent to which their indicators align with Jordan’s national priorities/reform strategies.

💡 Pushing the Boundaries of Learning 💡
We are continuing our groundbreaking USAID-funded collaboration with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Activity (MELA) to strengthen the capacity of MEL and Development professionals, one training at a time!
INTEGRATED is delighted to announce the successful completion of another round of participatory training sessions for USAID Implementing Partners (IPs) and Local Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Organizations (LMOs). This time on SAMPLING METHODOLOGIES.
The immersive learning approach utilized a combination of theory, serious play and direct application on participants’ work streams. From 9 - 12 July, 37 learning professionals, from 18 organizations gathered again and played, learned about complex concepts, and applied skills and knowledge in real-time.

Due to their women with disabilities are more likely to be unemployed, low-income, and vulnerable to abuse…
The needs of with disabilities remained largely unidentified and unexplored contributing to their continued isolation from the larger system compared to men with disabilities, as there are special consequences of the intersection of being female and being affected by a particular disability/disabilities.
Against most popular beliefs, studies conducted in several countries have documented that disability is not a protective factor; on the contrary, in most cases, women with disabilities are to the same types of as all women, while serves as an additional vulnerability factor and source of other types of abuse.
Women with are especially vulnerable to the increased risk of poverty, social withdrawal, and repeated victimization.

A big part of explaining why opportunities are not equal starts with understanding the contexts in which women live, work, and thrive. INTEGRATED conducted a study to better understand the care burden at home, and explore the gendered perceptions and sharing of workloads for unpaid home and care work.
