A part of being a a good Cub / Scout is speaking your mother tongue with pride. ⚜️

Our Cubs have started their Armenian lessons, launched by WSC as a hybrid program in collaboration with Armenian Virtual College - AGBU, fulfilling one of their Cub Scout requirements while taking another step in learning, growing, and keeping our heritage alive. 🇦🇲

Special thanks to Engerouhi Paulina Anisova for facilitating the program and guiding our Cubs through their Armenian lessons.

Այսօր ԱՄՄ-ի Սկաուտութեան մէջ նշուեցաւ «Գիրք Նուիրելու Օրը» ԱՄՄ-ի Մշակութային Յանձնախումբի կազմակերպութեամբ։

Գայլիկներուն բաժնուեցաւ՝ «Մանուկներու Աստուածաշունչը Միասին Կարդանք եւ Պատմենք» եւ «Մանուկներու բացատրական Աստուածաշունչ՝ կեանքի մեծ հարցումները փոքրիկ ընթերցողներու համար։» գիրքերը որոնց նախաձեռնութիւնը՝ Արաբական Ծոցի Աստուածաշունչի ընկերութեան ընդհանուր քարտուղար Դոկտ. Հրայր Ճէպէճեանի,
Շարադրութիւնը՝ Դոկտ. Արտա Ճէպէճեանի, եւ Հրատարակութիւնը՝ Արաբական Ծոցի Աստուածաշունչի ընկերութեան կողմէ իրականացուած են։

Գիրք Նուիրելու օրուայ առթիւ ԱՄՄ-ի Ատենապետ՝ Ընկ. Մարալ Ներսէսեանը բացատրեց օրուայ կապը ամենայն հայոց բանաստեղծ Յովհաննէս Թումանեանի հետ, ընթերցեց Թումանեանի պատմութիւններէն, վերջը քննարկութեան ժամանակ այն գայլիկները որոնք ԱՐՄԱՏ-ի Աշնանային ծրագիրին Թումանեանի նիստին մաս կազմած էին՝ մեծ խանդավառութեամբ կիսուեցան իրենց գիտելիքներով, որը շատ սրտառուչ պահ էր։

Սակուտական խումբը շնորհակալութիւն կը յայտնէ Ընկերուհի Ատենապետին եւ Մշակութային Յանձնախումբին այս շահաւէտ ներդրումին համար եւ Դոկտ. Ճէպէճեանին գիրքերուն համար։

Today, in the WSC Scouting, “Book Giving Day” was celebrated, organised by the WSC Cultural Committee.
The Cubs were given the books “Let’s Read and Tell the Children’s Bible Together” and “The Children’s Explanatory Bible: Life’s Big Questions for Little Readers.”
The books’ initiative was by Dr. Hrayr Jebejian, Secretary General of the Bible Society in the Gulf, the writing by Dr. Arda Jebejian, and the publication carried out by the Bible Society in the Gulf.
On the occasion of Book Giving Day, the WSC Chairman, Ęngerouhi Maral Nersessian, explained the connection of the day with the All Armenian Poet Hovhannes Tumanyan. She read from Tumanyan’s stories, and during the discussion that followed, the Cubs who had participated in the Tumanyan session of the ARMAT Autumn Sessions enthusiastically shared their knowledge — a very touching moment.
The Scouts Committee expresses its gratitude to the Chairman and the Cultural Committee for this beneficial contribution and to Dr. Jebejian for the books.
