Just weeks ago, 25 outstanding Jordanian students embarked on a life-changing journey to Canada through the Globalink Research Internship. Today, they are conducting research alongside leading professors and researchers at Canadian universities, gaining valuable academic and professional experience that will shape their future careers.

Now, the door will be opening for the next cohort.

🎓 Applications for the 2027 Globalink Research Internship, brought to you by the Youth, Technology, and Jobs Project and the Government of Canada, will open in early August 2026.

This 12-week research program offers senior undergraduate students the opportunity to work at top Canadian universities while expanding their knowledge, skills, and global networks.

Selected students will receive:
- Round-trip airfare to Canada
- Housing and living stipend
- Support from student mentors
- Access to industry events and professional development

A major step forward for Work-Integrated Learning in Jordan. 🇯🇴🚀

Last week, the Youth, Technology and Jobs (YTJ) Project at MoDEE and DigiSkills officially kicked off the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Readiness Assessment in collaboration with the University of Waterloo's Work-Learn Institute — a structured initiative to assess and strengthen work-integrated learning across Jordan's education and training landscape.

The kick-off session brought together government entities, private sector representatives, and universities to begin a nationally significant initiative aimed at strengthening the connection between education and employment in Jordan.

Building on the findings of DigiSkills’ Digital Skills Supply and Demand Gap Analysis — which highlighted work-readiness as a key challenge within Jordan’s digital talent pipeline — this assessment will help evaluate and enhance the readiness of institutions to implement effective work-integrated learning models.

This assessment is being conducted in close coordination with AQAC and aligns with Jordan Source’s vision of positioning Jordan as a leading hub for world-class digital talent.

يسرّنا أن نحتفل اليوم بمجموعة مميزة من الطلبة الذين تم قبولهم ضمن برنامج Mitacs Globalink Research Internship، من خلال مشروع الشباب والتكنولوجيا والوظائف، حيث تم اختيار 29 طالبًا وطالبة من مختلف الجامعات الأردنية لخوض تجربة بحثية غنية في كندا، تمكّنهم من تطوير مهاراتهم والمساهمة في مجالات الابتكار والبحث العلمي.

وقد جاء قبولهم بعد منافسة قوية مع طلبة من جامعات حول العالم، حيث تم اختيارهم من قبل مؤسسات البحث العلمي في كندا بناءً على كفاءتهم وتميّزهم وقدرتهم على المنافسة عالميًا.

جمعنا هذا اللقاء لنشاركهم لحظة فخر مستحقة، ونؤكد دعمنا المستمر لتمكين الكفاءات الأردنية وفتح آفاق عالمية أمامهم.

في خطوة تعكس أهمية تمثيل الخبرات الوطنية الفاعلة في مسارات تطوير القطاع العام، نبارك لرئيس مجلس إدارة جمعية المهارات الرقمية الدكتور علاء نشيوات اختياره عضواً في مجلس أمناء الأكاديمية الأردنية للإدارة الحكومية بقرار من مجلس الوزراء.

ويأتي هذا الاختيار تقديراً للدور الذي تضطلع به جمعية المهارات الرقمية في قيادة الجهود الوطنية لتطوير منظومة المهارات الرقمية، وتعزيز مواءمة مخرجات التعليم والتدريب مع احتياجات سوق العمل، من خلال شراكات فاعلة مع القطاعين العام والخاص.

إن تمثيل الجمعية في هذا المحفل الوطني يجسد امتداداً طبيعياً لدورها كمظلة تجمع مختلف الأطراف المعنية لبناء كفاءات وطنية قادرة على دعم مسيرة التحديث والتنافسية في الأردن

تواصل جمعية المهارات الرقمية ترسيخ دورها كمنصة وطنية توحّد جهود الجهات التعليمية والتشغيلية والحكومية لتطوير منظومة المهارات الرقمية في الأردن.

وبهذه المناسبة، نتقدّم بالتهنئة لأعضاء مجلس الإدارة المنتخبين للدورة 2026–2028، متطلعين إلى مرحلة جديدة من العمل المشترك لتعزيز أثر الجمعية، وتمثيل القطاع، ودفع مسيرة تنمية المهارات الرقمية بما يواكب أولويات التحديث الاقتصادي.

We’re excited to share the Bernspire Graduation Project Challenges (2025–2026 edition), organized by a Swiss non-profit recognizing outstanding graduation projects from emerging economies, brought to you by the Youth, Technology, and Jobs Project.

Eligible students from Jordan can showcase their innovative projects in:
• Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications)
• Social Sciences (Sociology, Economics, Population Studies, Geography)
• Girls in Engineering (special track)

Benefits:
* International exposure & recognition
* Cash prizes
* Certificates for top finalists
* Present your project to a global jury

Eligibility Criteria
Students must meet the following requirements:
* Must be students graduating in Spring or Fall 2026
* Graduation project must be completed within the same academic year 2025-2026
* Open to individuals or teams (maximum 4 members)
* Only one submission per applicant/team
* Submissions must be in English
* Projects should demonstrate innovation, originality, and clear impact

Timeline:
* Registration: April 2026
* Final submission deadline: 30 November 2026
* Final evaluation: February 2027
