Have you ever experienced a season in life where problems seem to come one after another? Sometimes, the odds feel so stacked against you that winning seems impossible.

Imagine the enemy using the person you love and cherish—the one meant to support and help you—to attack you. This is exactly what David faced when his own son, Absalom, rebelled to take his life and seize the throne. The conspiracy grew so strong that some who should have supported David turned against him. To onlookers, it seemed as if even God had abandoned him. David’s enemies taunted him, adding insult to injury.

Yet, in the midst of this overwhelming situation, David boldly declared his faith:
“But You, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts my head.”

Whatever battle you’re facing, trust that the LORD is your shield and protector. He is the one keeping you from destruction. God will lift your head in confidence and pride, removing shame and despair from your life.

As we experience God’s blessings, He silences the enemy’s taunts and removes their ridicule. YAHWEH restores our dignity and enables us to walk with our heads held high. In the end, we will joyfully declare:
“Look what the LORD has done!”

Declaration:
• I am protected from the conspiracies of men.
• The taunts of wicked spirits against my life are silenced.
• The LORD surrounds me as a shield.
• The LORD has lifted my head high.
