Earlier we posted information for Occupational Skilled Workers. Here are the requirements for CARE-GIVERS:

1. Need to be between the ages of 25 and 55
2. It is required that Care-givers have at least 1-3 years experience in the field
3. It is required that Care-givers possess a Certificate to show competency.

The minimum requirements for our recruitment are:

OCCUPATIONAL SKILLED WORKERS:

1. Must be between the ages of 25 and 55
2. Have at least 5 years experience in the field in which they are applying (within a registered company in Jamaica or the rest of the Caribbean.
Welders need at least 4 years. For those that don't have 5 years experience, it is required that you have at least 2 years, with a certificate granted from a vocational institution showing competency.

3. Some skilled areas require certificates to show competency, for example, Massage Therapists

Where are the Caregivers on this page? Let's define what Canada classifies as a Caregiver.

According to the official Canadian Immigration website, "Live-in caregivers are individuals who are qualified to provide care for children, elderly persons or persons with disabilities in private homes without supervision. Live-in caregivers must live in the private home where they work in Canada.

Both the employer and the employee must follow several steps to meet the requirements of the Live-in Caregiver Program (LCP)."
