The Jamaica CARES Project continues to give back. During our last trip to Jamaica (June 2019), we were able to make a donation of educational resources and tools to support academic, social, and life-skill development to advance the learning of students at McLeod Basic School in the Liguanea area of Kingston. We appreciate Mona Social Services of the University of West Indies for the continued partnership and for connecting us with this opportunity to give. Jamaica celebrates its 54th year of independence today just as the country's athletes get ready to compete at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. There is no greater moment of feeling both patriotic and privileged for being born Jamaican. We are proud of our country and support her through the journey she has made. We keep faith during her struggles, knowing she is resilient. We honor her children because she has prepared them well and nurtures them back to order when they go astray. No matter the challenges, we are a great nation of great people. This is the land that we love. This is the land loved by the world. My Jamaica--Our Jamaica! Happy Birthday to a great nation.
