Starlink for Schools: The Jamaica Inn Foundation Supports Local Schools

A very entertaining cultural performance by a student of Exchange Primary set the tone for a meaningful morning at her school. After Hurricane Melissa, schools across the area faced serious telecommunications challenges that made it difficult for teachers, students, and administrators to function effectively.

On 13 November, the Jamaica Inn Foundation (JIF) presented Starlink Internet packages to Exchange Primary School, Priory Primary School, and the Regional Office of the Ministry of Education - restoring reliable connectivity and helping these schools get their programmes back on track.

Hosted by Acting Principal Natalie Oates-Johnson, with Board Chairman Gregory Chung, Region 3 Director Karlene Segre, Jamaica Inn's Kyle Mais, JIF Lead Belinda Morrow, and JIF Board Member and FC at Jamaica Inn Everett Watson in attendance, the presentation underscored the importance of stable Internet access for learning. Mrs. Smith guided the event seamlessly as MC.

These Starlink packages were made possible through generous contributions to our GoFundMe drive - thank you to everyone who helped us raise the funds to make this possible. The Jamaica Inn Foundation remains committed to supporting our community, strengthening youth development, and preserving our coastal environments.
