In l992, Sharon Battaglia, Pam Chong, Giusy Maffessanti, Cindy Stannard and Dolores Force, formed what is now known as the Ocho Rios Orchid Society.
The goal was to fellowship and share the love of orchids while helping others grow. The society has successfully hosted more than 16 shows at various venues such as, the Ruins, Sunset Jamaica Grande, Walker's Wood and Couples Sans Souci.
