Day 4 Costa Rica Overland Expedition

I was awoken by the howling of monkeys this morning and an amazing breakfast from the mother that runs the surf shop in the Parque National Park we stoped at for the night.

Dove into our day long scuba dive this morning exploring the reef around Isla del Caño throughout the day with costa Rica Dive and Surf https://www.facebook.com/share/186UuSuEz7/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Drove northward towards San Jose this evening stopping at Playa Bandera where we discovered the Bamboo Cafe. Five start tuna on the beach in the sleepiest town. The owner runs a cartel and bamboo farm and provided us with a tour of the home he built with bamboo. (Available on Airbnb)

Setup camp along ther pacific coast and enjoyed the sunset / moonrise. Made a pup friend tonight and they have been walking the beach and settling with me throughout the night

Might have to claim this as my new family member!

Amazing day.

Day 5 Costa Rica Overland Expedition

Woke up to an amazing sunrise on the coat after watching the total lunar eclipse in the pitch black cost of Bandera de Parrita (Caminos de Costa Rica). Focusing on the mountains we drove northwest to the highest viewpoint along the southwestern mountain ridge.

Once we entered the mountains it felt as we were in for an amazing adventure. The roads narrowed and becamevery steep (20-30 degrees). The views at the top were unforgettable

Staying in the mountains we proceed Northeastwards to Poas volcano (10k elevation) and watched the tropical foliage shift to subtropical ferns and spruce trees and a much cooler temperature. We were in the Bavaria of Costa Rica.

Sadly tomorrow we conclude this chapter; however, this provides the opportunity to explore another area.
