Hurricane Melissa threatens to destroy us. We are tied and battened down as much as possible, with all preparations in place. Its is so confusing, slow moving storm, with no agenda other than destruction. Nature is angry, we have not treated her well (look at that huge tower built in the Mangrove on very ecologically sensitive land, it is the first of 4 to be built there!) We have been expecting this storm - Melissa, to arrive for three days now. We have guests at Cedar Ridge, refugees, from a wellness retreat at the Rastavillage. I/we are grateful, but at the same time overwhelmed by the possibility of sudden destruction. Thank you all for sending your loving strength 🙏🫂to keep us facing forward in this very challenging time.💞💞💞

My white cat has disappeared, this is causing me much more distress than I could have imagined. Sad. Mother cat is very sad also. He has just vanished!

August at Cedar Ridge has been about easing off the stress snd taking time to give thanks and appreciate family moments. Everything else can wait, but the babies become integrated in the world before you get a chance to give them pieces of yourself...so taking whatever time I can get. Travelers were diverse this month: north, south, east and west all sent representatives to share their worlds in our space. Giving thanks as always.
