I speak to clients daily about the one thing that is most important to them. Most listen and act. But some are stuck in the old frame of mind. Today a lady spoke to me for hours, as I tried to console her as her husband for over fifty year recently passed away and she battles with the lack of financial resources to keep up to date with her bills. I said “lady, have you left your home recently?” She answered in the negative. I continued, so you are struggling to pay the mortgage and the other bills, you are embarrassed to take money monthly from you children, your credit card and line of credit are maxed out and you are worried about paying life insurance premiums? She said yes. “If you sell your house what would happen?” I would be debt free, I could take deserved vacation, less stressful time with my grand kids and take a vacation back to a place I always wanted to. But I love the design of the house. I continued “mam, what do you love more, the house or yourself?” The lady smiled, thank me continuously and told me, she needed that reassurance. The moral of this story is, self love - we never met before, if we stand still we cannot meet beautiful people to share our taught and ideas with.
