TAKE A MINUTE TO READ. For Intl Men’s Day I visited the Metcalfe Correctional Facility for boys ages 12 -17 along with Zach Harding, and others. It was life changing. was the perfect guest speaker because he’s been where they are. He wants to continue to help. These kids are from troubled homes and/or have troubled minds. But for their lack of privilege they could be our brothers or sons. It is CRUCIAL that we find ways to provide guidance, mentorship and education to them. It is literally the difference between them becoming the gun men of tomorrow or becoming productive members of society. They are the epicenter of potential change in our crime situation and the country. I commend for all they have done to help these kids and to help me to help these kids. I implore the Jamaican Government to provide opportunities for their positive development once they leave these institutions. I call on my entire Instagram family to support us when we call on you, so it’s not just about one day of support for them. It may just be a phone call for a connection to someone influential; sometimes it’s using your already great skills and businesses to assist; it’s maybe visiting the facility and teaching them about social skills, grooming, dispute resolution, self esteem.
