What an amazing week we have had! The children have shown incredible determination, resilience and compassion. Thank you year 6 and remember ‘we’re all in this together’ Mrs Le Cornu and Mr Belsey 🌟

Yesterday evening, year 6 played in football matches against a visiting French school who were also staying at the hostel. They were from Caen and here to learn about the culture and develop their English language. Both schools were so friendly and respectful of each other, applying their language skills in a real context and had really memorable evening. There was dancing from the sideline cheerleaders and the French sixth formers were put through their paces on the pitch by our boys and girls! It was a special evening for everyone - and the match has continued this morning ⚽️

What a busy day! Year 6 enjoyed free play on the grounds this morning, with a visit from Mrs McMahon and then walked to Victoria Tower for a ‘bug safari’ with The National Trust. After lunch, the class walked to Long Beach for the afternoon before coming back to the hostel for some free time before a chicken curry dinner ☀️🍛🪲🦟🐛

After a long day of activities and then spaghetti bolognaise and chocolate brownie for dinner, year 6 are showered and watching a movie in their pjs 😴

🦇🌅 Yesterday evening, year 6 were lucky enough to have a presentation from The Jersey Bat Group, followed by a bat search using real bat detectors in the grounds. We found bats! Thank you very much to The Jersey Bat Group. 🌅🦇

Surf’s Up!

Year 6 have had a big breakfast, packed their bags and are on their way for a day of surfing. What amazing weather for it! 🌊🏄🏄‍♂️🏄‍♀️

Dinner is served!

Year 6 have had a wonderful day! They are all settled into the hostel and are playing outside in the sunshine. They enjoyed a lovely walk down to Mont Orgueil Castle where they learnt about the history of the castle and how to make medieval herbal remedies. Ready for the bat talk this evening after dinner. 🏰🦇🌞🌱🍃
