Me and my lovely boy are desperately looking for a property 🤞

Our house is due to sell on the 18th of December (1 week before 🎅 arrives!) and we are searching for either

Ideally we need parking and a garage or a workshop, not asking for much am I?!

There is literally nothing on the market for us at the moment, with houses being snapped up so quick.

We have been quiet lately due to sickness, but I am pleased to say we are back to full strength and have lots of new stock coming in next week, we have mirrors, baskets, faux plants, plant pots, hanging jute pots, decorative items and lots and lots and lots more!!

Our neighbours Flour are opening their 2nd store in De Gruchys today.

Sending them a massive congratulations 🍾 lots of hard work and amazing cupcakes, they deserve all the success!

Tomorrow, Friday 23rd, we open our second store in de Gruchys! We are super excited and so honoured to be opening in Jersey’s most established department store! We would like to take a moment to thank some of our staff and suppliers who have got us here...
Firstly, de Gruchys themselves for allowing us this opportunity. Our fabulous baker Lilly Catney who has gone above and beyond to make sure we have the stock we need to make this happen. Bakewell queen, dishwasher supreme and the biggest support in the world Angela Taylor. Cupcake chauffeur and general odd job man Richard. Our fantastic new staff members. Our amazing local suppliers Hamptonne Farm Eggs, Shane Lawrence at Cimandis, Michael at Easenmyne. Claire Evans at Eden by Claire, Style to Cherish, PTF Motion,and the amazing Emma at Quints of Jersey - Weddings as well as many more and our incredible customers who have brought us to this day! We could not have done any of this without you!

We open at 9am tomorrow and we welcome you all with open arms to celebrate with us! We all need some good news this year and you have helped us make that happen! Thank you to you all!

Look at what my clever friend Zoe has made 😍 Complete with handmade legs, pebble shaped tops and finished with Fusion Mineral Paint, just gorgeous 👌

How creative and amazing is this gorgeous piece by Dawn from Pretty Shabby.

Completed using Fusion Mineral Paint, these drawers were completely transformed and now look like stacked cases, complete with handles.

Did you know Painted Beautiful make signs to order?

We have a machine that allows us to cut stencils, and make signs with the wording of your choice.

We like to use wood that has been reclaimed, this particular sign was an old oak table that was on its way to the dump!! 😬

I would like to introduce you to Nelly, who I think is a superstar ⭐

Nelly is 8 years old and has been super busy drawing the most amazing pictures to raise money for Durrel and Jersey Zoo.

Nelly is going to draw 100 😳, yes 100 pictures of animals. Each day a different animal picture is posted on her page, they are just incredible.

I think you will agree she is doing an amazing job, and so kind to be raising money for our Zoo.

What do you think of these two little beauties, painted in Fusion Mineral Paint - Coal Black and Casement?

The large fireplace painted in Casement was a lucky find, original to the house, which had been taken out and stored in an outbuilding, this is treasure!

Its took quite some work to clean it up, with years of grim and dust accumulated in all the nooks.

We primed with Zinsser BIN as the wood was mahogany and didn't want to risk any bleed through issues.

What a stunner and statement piece 😍

The fireplace painted in Coal Black is a complete contrast to the crisp white of Casement, but o my days, this is a show stopper.

We had to remove the pre existing waxy finish and sand smooth the surfaces. Then we could paint straight on with Coal Black, which is my favorite colour to paint with, it goes on like butter, has great coverage and the end result 👌

We finished both pieces with Polyvine Dead Flat Matt 👍

Something a little different from Painted Beautiful today!

Yesterday me and my gorgeous boy took a trip up to see our Nanna at Maison La Corderie.

During lockdown Luca and I made 30 sun flower kits for the residents to grow on their window sills, hoping it would give them a little something to do during the long days, confined to their rooms.

I can't believe how tall they have grown in the pint sized pots 🌻 haven't they done well?

Luca and Nanna dug the holes, planted and watered them. These are now going to grow tall all over the gardens, for the residents to enjoy.

We have judged the winners 🏆 and will be returning with some carefully selected prizes 👏

A massive thank you to the staff at Maison La Corderie for taking such good care of our Mums, Dads, Grandads and Nannas ❤
