Sharing of my cover with the incredible .eigeland Thank you for making me feel so comfortable, for your direction and fantastic eye for detail and for not telling me where to go when I sent over the concept 🤣 My 2nd EP is pure pop fun and when approaching the cover art I was inspired by illustrations of medieval court jesters. I challenged myself to construct a headpiece and we explored different positions both standing and crouching, then we tried Talie's pedestal which led to us capturing the final image.

I had to LOL at the nails because all I asked for was for them to be painted red and black. An hour later I left the salon with a full set of acrylics (which I had to then wear for a gig that night 💀). It was the first time getting my nails done and after that fiasco probably the last 😆💅🏻

Very grateful for all the love and support on this EP which explores our relationship with the inner saboteur (ENEMY), gratefulness amidst the seemingly never ending journey towards fulfilment (EVERYDAY) and celebrating our authentic selves in the face of opposition (BORN FREE). I hope you enjoy this body of work .montais.music and I have had a ball creating.

Over sharing a wee bit today but we all struggle with our inner sabateur and I wanted to share one approach I use when my brain is being an absolute nob 😌 was battling with him when I was in the studio so we wrote ENEMY.
