If you want to spend more time getting creative this year you may be interested in taking an art class.
As many of you probably know I work for adult education teaching drawing and painting. The classes are a lot of fun and I try hard to provide interesting subjects to draw and paint.
This term starts the second week of January and I am teaching these classes:
Tuesday mornings 9.30 -11.30 Art Studio - for people who either want to work independently on their own thing or experiment with different ideas and stimuli provided by me!
Wednesday mornings 9.30 -11.30 Beginners Painting - for people with absolutely no painting experience or who want to start from the very beginning.
Wednesday evening 6-8pm Art Studio - it's the same class as the Tuesday morning Art Studio class
Friday morning 9.30 - 11.30 Beyond the Basics for people who know a little about painting but want to learn more but need some guidance
Friday 12 -2pm Beginners Drawing - For people who want to learn more about drawing techniques.

So much amazing talent in the Royal Square…the artists are a complete wonder and there’s me too! Open til 7pm tonight!

New painting in the Harbour Gallery Exhibition- every picture tells a story. A lovely idea and a chance to get involved in the arts. All you need to do is go to the exhibition and write a story about one of the paintings. The best stories will be published in a book next year. Children and adults are invited to write their stories. There’s lots of different paintings by 64 different artists and there’s some gorgeous ones.
Mine is called:
All it took was the glowing embers of the sun shifting shadows across the hills to change everything I felt inside.

We are open from 8.30-4pm at Philip Mourant and would really appreciate any donations of newspapers!

ART CLASSES WITH LISA!

You'll be able to book Art classes with Lisa in the Summer term (the term starts from 22nd April 2025).

Lisa teaches all levels of drawing and painting, from complete beginners upwards and as you can see she likes to use a wide variety of subject matters to keep the classes varied and interesting.

We are publishing all the courses running for the Summer term early in March and we'll notify you on this page when courses are open for booking.
