A little late from us (sorry about that!), but if you missed it, our Jersey Evening Post article about the Gorey to Carteret Race and our Plan B challenge was published last Saturday.

It was a fantastic weekend that showcased the determination, teamwork and community spirit of Jersey Rowing Club. A huge congratulations to everyone who took part, whether you crossed to Carteret or took on the 27km Plan B challenge around the bay.

Thank you to everyone who shared their experiences and helped make the article possible. We're incredibly proud of all our crews and everything they achieved.

Jersey Beach Sprint Championships & Jersey Offshore Rowing Championships - 7-9 August

Keep your eyes peeled for information and entries for this year’s event which will be stage 3 of the Swift Racing 4 Nations Series. Entry forms available soon.

Draft Event Plan

10.50 - race starts from Dixcart Bay
1.00pm - first competitors come through
3.30pm - last competitors come in
4.00pm - trophy presentation
4.20-6:00pm - party

There will be complimentary tea / coffee / cake station and we'll have food and drinks trucks (Bonne Nuit Cafe will be availlable too for you to book). Our top class party will be delivered by Simon Gasston and Warren Le Sueur (the organisers of the Weekender, Out-There and LibInTheSquare) so certainly worth sticking around!
The minibus will be available free of charge between Bonne Nuit Bay and Les Platons from 12pm to 6pm.

Please note that the volunteers will be needed to help with timekeeping, beach control and boat landing, loading boats to Normandy Trader (if used), helping at tea station, boat safety equipment checks and general order keeping.
