It’s not often I pop onto social media to actually write a post.... but i just wanted to give a little shout out to the amazing Peter Wright who is starting his ISLAND MAN X7 challenge tomorrow, which consists of 7 Irons Mans in 7 Days, all to raise money for a some great local charities.

After helping Pete & Steve a couple of years ago with the branding for the Dragonfish Atlantic Row, it was an honour to once again be asked to help Pete
by creating the Island Man X7 branding, support materials and sports kit.

Beginning this weekend, Jersey will play host to not one, but two internationally recognised events.

Tomorrow, the GB Surfing - GB CUP kicks off in St Ouen’s Bay at the Watersplash for three days, with the 24 best male and the 24 best female surfers in the UK battling it out.

Then on Monday the 46th Global Privacy Assembly begins. Sponsored by the likes of Google, Apple, Meta & Tiktok, the event will see nearly 500 international delegates and privacy leaders, from the world of data protection participate in a range of conference sessions across five days.

We are extremely proud to have been involved with the branding for both of these amazing events. Working with our office partners to deliver the design assets and look and feel for the GB Cup, and then working with our long term clients to create and deliver the event branding, signage, digital assets, merchandise..... (the list is rather endless) for the 46th GPA conference.

We want to say a big thank you to the team at Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner and for being great at what they do and putting their trust in us to deliver on what has been the biggest project we have ever been involved with.

Final shout out to who has done a phenomenal job supporting our vast and never ending workload over the past month or so.

Massive congratulations to Steve & Pete, who finished the row across the Atlantic last night! (After a mere 54 days) unbelievable achievement and we are very proud to have a played a tiny part helping them raise so much money!

It is an incredible ugly deep sea fish - but that's not where the name of this team came from! 😯

Steve is originally from Wales - hence the Dragon part. Pete is a Pisces, hence the fish bit. 🐲🦈

Steve Slattery of STS Graphics was the brains behind it and the colours that the team used - and whilst having a nice logo and design feels like a 'nice to have', Steve and Pete discovered that it absolutely catapulted their campaign. We spoke to them a couple of days ago about it, and even at sea, in the midst of all that's going on, they said that their campaign would not have been so succesful if it was not for Steve's help. 🙌

Sometimes, every so often, a project comes along that’s just a bit ‘different’….

….and that’s exactly what happened back in Summer 2021, when we were asked if we would like to create a brand for two local athletes who had set their sights on entering a rather difficult race.

Fast forward 18 months and it’s now the beginning of December 2022. Steve and Pete of Dragonfish Row are now just over ten days away from the ‘Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge’ Atlantic Campaigns start line in the Canary Islands.

Around 50 days of nonstop rowing lies before them as they try to cross the Atlantic to Antigua – covering 3,000 gruelling miles in the process.

It has been a great privilege to work with the guys over the past year or so, helping them raise the funds needed to buy the boat, equipment and other expenses associated with entering such a physically demanding race. Along with the brand, we also created sponsor packs, flyers, banners, and branded training gear – all with the aim of driving sponsor interest and support.

So now, as we are just under two weeks away from the start – I just wanted to say thank you to Steve & Pete and wish them all the luck in the world. We have every confidence that they will totally smash it!

It’s also very cool to think that the STS GRAPHICS logo, along with all the other sponsor & partner logos who have come ‘onboard’, will soon be in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean – and aside from Steve & Pete, will at one point be closer to the Astronauts on the International Space Station than any other humans!
