Venice outfit- dress from ! Cotton to stay cool and thank goodness I wore my sneakers, because I ended up running a mile to make the train back to Rome!

Typically, I don’t wear “swing” dresses- their tent-like shape can overwhelm my petite frame. However, with a cinched belt to add shape, I like this look, especially with the floral design and off-the-shoulder option.

While there’s nothing wrong with the sweater in the left pic, it’s right right for my body type- which is why knowing how to dress for your body is so important. The high neck of the sweater cuts off my neck, and the boxy shape hits right in my middle, cutting me in half. By contrast, the look on the right has a lower cut, elongating my body and minimizing my bust. It also follows the rule of 3rds, which means breaking your body line into 1/3s is more flattering than in 1/2. Do you know your body type and how to dress for it?
