Vanitas draws inspiration from the Baroque Venetian tradition of memento mori, revisited
with an ironic twist: a visual haywire with a surprisingly pop essence, simultaneously
unsettling and reassuring the viewer. Venice Factory’s skull emphasizes an existential
paradox: only if alive, one can fear death.
