Reviews are in for Berlinale Special Gala selection HEYSEL 85 and we are thrilled for the warm welcome to accomplished 4th feature! If you’ve missed it, there are still a few more screenings next week!

If 2025 taught us anything, is that powerful films should be handled with care. This year, the stories we championed packed a punch on their own: moving audiences, sparking dialogue, and collecting a few awards along the way.

From the global urgency of FREE LEONARD PELTIER, the surreal spark of TALK ME, the searing humanity or HOLDING LIAT (which was recently shortlisted for the Oscars), the resonant journeys of MOTHER BHUMI and TAKE OFF, and the visionary triumph of IMAGO, we are grateful to have helped these films find their voices and audiences around the world.

Thank you to our filmmakers, collaborators, and partners, as well as our journalist colleagues who made this year unforgettable.

Here is to 2026: more bold stories, more surprises and more awards.

Thrilled to see To A Land Unknown and the Berlinale Documentary Award-winning film Holding Liat among The Guardian’s Best Films of 2025!

Our newest project in collaboration with Whatever Works PR: FREE LEONARD PELTIER by award-winning filmmakers David France & Jesse Short Bull will make its European premiere on November 14th in the Best of Fests section at this year’s International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA)! The film will also screen at DOC NYC on November 15th. Stay tuned.

TAKE OFF - directed by longtime collaborator of Tsai Ming-Liang, Pengfei - will make its debut in competition at this year’s Tokyo International Film Festival!

Starring Jiang Qiming and Li Xueqin, this whimsical film based on Shuang Xuetao’s novella The Aeronaut, follows their story of dreams, resilience, and reinvention in 1970s China. 
World premiere: October 30th. Stay tuned.
