For the last two days, I've been working on a puzzle.

Every time I get close to making progress, one of my kids needs me. A snack, a hug, help finding a toy, settling a disagreement. And when I finally get back to it, my 3-year-old often decides to "help" by scattering the pieces all over again.

So why post a picture of a bunch of scattered puzzle pieces?

Because for many moms, life can feel exactly like this. We spend our days pouring into everyone else, solving problems, meeting needs, and putting the pieces together for our families. Then the next day, we wake up and do it all over again.

And before anyone misunderstands me....I absolutely love being a mom. Being home with my children is one of the greatest blessings of my life, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
But I've also learned that it's important to have something that's yours.

For me, that's my business...

Those two hours a day that I dedicate to building something of my own remind me that I'm not only raising future leaders...I'm leading too. They allow me to grow, set goals, help others, develop new skills, and be recognized for the work I put in.

Motherhood is a huge part of who I am, but it isn't the only part of who I am.

Having a purpose outside of being "Mom" doesn't take away from my family....it makes me a stronger, happier, more fulfilled version of myself for them.

So yes, the puzzle may never get finished....but every day, piece by piece, I'm building something else too.
