Oblivion Vortex

Cari amici,

ci siamo presi un po' di tempo per riorganizzare le idee, e siamo infine arrivati a pubblicare questo comunicato per informarvi che, per ragioni personali, l'avventura degli Oblivion Vortex si interrompe qui.
Vogliamo ringraziare tutti, amici, fans, band con cui abbiamo diviso il palco; tutti quelli che hanno creduto in noi e ci hanno supportato fin dall'inizio permettendoci di vivere un'esperienza esaltante, per quanto breve.
Ci teniamo comunque a dire che, anche se la band ufficialmente si è sciolta, la storia non finisce qui: seguiranno a breve degli aggiornamenti, ma, seppure con una formazione diversa, continueremo a diffondere il verbo del Doom.
Insomma, il serpente non è morto, ha solo cambiato pelle.
Ancora una volta, per ora l'ultima: Get Oblivious!

Dear friends,

We took some time to gather our thoughts, and we’ve finally decided to publish this statement to let you know that, for personal reasons, the Oblivion Vortex adventure comes to an end here.
We would like to thank everyone – friends, fans, and the bands whom we shared the stage with; everyone who believed in us and supported our band from the very beginning, allowing us to enjoy an exhilarating experience, however brief.
We would, however, like to say that, even though the band has officially split up, the story doesn’t end here: updates will follow shortly, but, albeit with a different line-up, we will keep on spreading the word of Doom.
In short, the snake isn’t dead, it’s just shed its skin.
Once again, for now the last: Get Oblivious!

Oblivion Vortex
𝐎𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐗 — 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐎𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒)

There’s a kind of doom that doesn’t crush you.
𝐈𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬.
And 𝐼𝑛𝑡𝑜 𝑂𝑏𝑙𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑜𝑛 is exactly that:
a slow, warm, living magnetism —
something that doesn’t weigh you down, but pulls you in.

The guitars move like deep currents:
constant, dark, always shifting.
They don’t aim for immediate impact;
they 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮, inch by inch,
like something rising from below.

The voice is the key to the vortex:
clean, steady, at times almost choral —
it doesn’t tell you a story,
𝐢𝐭 𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐭.
It carries that ancient storyteller quality,
standing at the center of the ritual rather than above the music.

The drums pulse like a heart that sets the rhythm of the journey:
sometimes restrained, sometimes more urgent,
yet always faithful to that doom pace
that moves slowly… and never turns back.

Each track is a different depth of the same abyss:
– the first invites you
– the second drags you
– the third wraps around you
– the fourth holds you suspended

There are no twists, no masks,
no rush:
only a steady movement toward the core.

𝐼𝑛𝑡𝑜 𝑂𝑏𝑙𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑜𝑛 doesn’t try to impress.
It tries to 𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐩 𝐲𝐨𝐮.
And it succeeds with a coherence few debut bands possess.

⚙️ 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭

Oblivion Vortex is a young project, but built upon the experience of musicians active within the Italian scene (Highlord, Extinction, Ivory).
Their debut EP, recorded at Elnor Studio by Mattia Stancioiu, showcases a rare feature in doom:
clean vocals + heavy doom = an immediately recognizable identity, already present from the very first listen.

Saturday, January 24 we are having the honour to be part of the bill of the "zero edition" of Italian Metal Alliance fest!
