UNESCO presents solutions for disaster risk reduction at the European Civil Protection Forum 2018
UNESCO team and ISMB present innovative DRM systems to Mr Christos Stylianides, European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management. The UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe, Venice (Italy) and the UNESCO Earth Sciences, DRR Unit, participated in the European Civil Protection Forum in Brussels, Belgium.
On 5- 6 March 2018, UNESCO through its Office in Venice and Earth Sciences and Geo-Hazards Risk Reduction section, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Unit, took part in the European Civil Protection Forum "Civil Protection in a Changing Risk Landscape" in Brussels with a dedicated stand. The forum was a unique opportunity to present EU-derived solution for DRM built upon two major projects I-REACT (H2020) and FLOODIS (FP7) led by the Institute Mario Boella based in Turin (Italy). http://bit.ly/2IrAlvx
