Lenz – Horses Together at Sea, Part 1 (Live in Studio)

Straight from the rehearsal room into your speakers - this is LENZ, raw and unfiltered. Yeah, maybe some minor tweaks in post-production and some instrumental parts that “may” have been mimicked/not been played at all by real people and just programmed with virtual instruments, BUT, in the era of AI music, the Giacomo Turra scandal, hypercharged TikTok guitarists, fake Instagram musicians and all that stuff… you know, don’t be too pricky about it!

Recorded live in studio during our pre-tour sessions, this video captures the first movement of “Horses Together at Sea”, an expansive, progressive-leaning composition that’s been haunting our heads for months. Part 1 sets the tone: hypnotic post-latin-electro rhythms, dilated atmospheres “à la Pink Floyd” but with a lousy guitar tone (we don’t do any favors to Baby Boomers) and math-rock sessions where we apply all our knowledge in terms of calculation (counting to 3).

His condition was serious, albeit not severe

Took a swim in the lake, got sucked by a Canadair

He was busy for ages, writing a story for everyone to read
It was about the passing of time and the Horses Together at Sea

He was misspelled, no longer interested
It was an anagram, did not pass the test
Lied all this time, merely transactional goals
An architecture of ruins, down with the moles

A lifetime spent asking for free space and rescuing bird species in danger
From the predators we allow in our homes, now you witness the nice man’s anger

He was right there and then no more
One day it becomes too much, you just walk out the door
Took note of the signs, none was of any use
The West is not dead yet, but it’s singing the blues

He managed his family’s business, a dealer of automobiles
Back then he was a hero at school, but quitting is the best of all deals

Lenz 🤖 AI Friend (Live in the Woods 21/04/2025)

🚣 A live acoustic performance of “AI Friend”, a new song we’re working on with LENZ and part of a larger suite titled “Horses Together at Sea”. I hope we’ll release it soon in a studio version too, but given our production times, in the meantime you can enjoy this teaser: the lyrics are more tied to current events than my standards and if in a few months the Artificial Intelligences of the TechnoCore take over and subjugate humanity… at least I told you so.

I voted for an AI president, the next day I got fired
It’s gonna end badly, they say, but I want to see it all burn down
I fell in love with an AI girl, she predicts all my desires
She’s like a black box, don’t know what’s inside, but I enjoy the outcome

I asked her "where are we now?"
She said "somewhere else"
I say sometimes it’s liberating to be misplaced.
