Ad aprire il concerto sarà il duo milanese Rosso Polare, una delle formazioni più interessanti al momento nel panorama sperimentale italiano (e non).

A long list of names have performed on this system including Jah Shaka, Mala, Kevin Richard Martin, Miss Red and many more. While the list of bass advocates who’ve played on the Krackfree is long and impressive, we have a lot of respect for the long-standing dedication of this Eindhoven crew towards the artisanal sound system culture. Throughout our happy collaboration with last year we’ve come to realise the amount of hours and physical endurance needed to run such thing. While one may see a system built and pumping, it is easy to forget this is a tuff labour of love, nothing else. We’re humbled and proud to be able to work with such dedicated sound disciples and cannot wait to present to you the .soundsystem in full power very soon.

Current Shapes is a concert series produced by SOW in collaboration with the . This year marks the 5th edition of this concert, which is part of the Accademia Chigiana's International Summer Festival programme. Throughout the years Current Shapes has showcased works by music and sound researchers such as Maria W Horn, Kassel Jaeger, Lucy Railton, Giulio Aldinucci, Thomas Ankersmit, Alessandra Novaga, Emanuele Giannini, Pisano e Palmentiero, the HCM label crew.
This year's Current Shapes, on Sept. 1st in the suggestive courtyard of Palazzo Chigi Saracini, will present Jessica Ekomane () and Laura Agnusdei with Daniele Fabris ( / .fabris)
Jessica Ekomane will present an exclusive live show in line with her artistic research presented, among others, in the acclaimed debut album released for the prestigious American label . The psychoacoustic qualities of her performances, the rhythmic structures in gradual change, and the interchange between noise and melody are at the core of this show which aims to present the mass of sound as a factor of transformation both on a spatial level, and on a perceptive one.
The Italian duo composed by saxophonist Laura Agnusdei and Daniele Fabris will open the concert. As a duo, Agnusdei and Fabris focus the compositional method on the reworking of the sound of the saxophone, using digital devices encoded by Fabris himself to shape, sculpt and orchestrate ethereal sounds. Combining the emotional power of melody together with soundscapes, these pieces strike a balance between gesture and abstraction, density and rarefaction.
Current Shapes is produced and curated by SOW, in collaboration with , .it and Inner Room Siena.
A special thanks goes to the cultural dissemination center Santa Chiara Lab - University of Siena () for having offered their patronage and for their precious contribution.
