New approach needed to tackle parasitic liver disease in Europe and Turkey

31 August 2018 | Geneva –– A cross-sectional study conducted in Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey has found that the true burden of cystic echinococcosis is poorly understood and that many cases remain asymptomatic, with no appropriate medical diagnosis and treatment. The study assessed the prevalence of the disease among rural populations in the three countries.

We are searching a GRANT MANAGER. His/Her mission will consist in:

Scouting: research and examination of national and international funding opportunities for research and development activities;

Prepares and manages proposals for grants in accordance with funder's policies and legal requirements;

Negotiates contractual provisions with potential partners;

Support the project coordinator in making appropriate internal arrangements to ensure the efficient implementation of the project,

Support the project coordinator in the preparation of progress and periodic administrative reports;

Support in the resolution of any administrative or contractual issues within the partnership and with the Funding Authority (EU Commission; MIUR; Regione Toscana),

Ensure that the administrative guidelines are correctly followed by all beneficiaries of the project;

Support the administrative bodies of the different beneficiaries’ project institutions;

Support in the organization and management of the dissemination activities;

Support in the organization and management of the training activities;

Support in the Preparation and management of the project website;

Support in the Preparation and attendance at the project meetings.

The place of work is in Siena.

To apply, candidates must have a University degree or equivalent, preferable a scientific background, at least a previous experience in the managing of projects, a good competence in English.
